New, Flexible Access Rights Management System | Multiplatform Content Editor

Written by Learnetic Team | Aug 4, 2013 10:00:00 PM

mAuthor offers an improved, more flexible system for managing user access rights.

So far there has been three default roles to be assigned to a given project or publication: read, write and owner. Now a company admin is able to create completely new, flexible roles which allow to define access rights not only to the entire project or publication but enable to grant specific permissions to particular actions made in mAuthor.

A newly created role will appear in the list of roles in the “Manage access rights” section and from now on it is possible to assign it to newly created accounts as well as use it for editing the existing users’ roles.

Please note that this change does not affect the previously granted access rights.

For more information, please refer to the following sections in mAuthor documentation: Adding new user accounts and Managing access rigts.
