Platform Update Notification

Welcome to 2026 with mAuthor! We have updated the ICPlayer and the mAuthor platform with the following changes:

1. We have introduced a new AI Assistant module that enhances your content and allows students to interact with a virtual teacher or a customized persona of your choice. In this module, you can customize the AI with detailed instructions regarding its behavior, response tone, and ways to support students in their learning. Find out more in the documentation and the Demo Lesson.

2. A new redesigned view of the Company Space Details settings is now available in the Admin Panel -> Company Details menu, where previous links to change text direction settings and upload company logo are replaced with a new link - "Edit Company details". The new consolidated view includes both existing and newly added settings - you can enable Speechace and OpenAI features in mAuthor by saving your API Keys and secrets to those external services and use Speechace and AI Assistant modules.

3. We've added the improved Monaco Code Editor to the Custom Scoring module editor for the Script property.
4. It is now possible to add alt-texts in the TrueFalse module using the  \alt{} syntax and in the Table module  for the LaTeX formulas as well.
5. Minor bug fixes and updates were also added to:
   
   
   1. The Multiple Gap module,
   2. Connecting Dots module events handling on mobile,
   3. Update Speech Text functionality,
   4. The Company Space access rights system on the backend.
